LOCATION
Our retreat will take you on a journey to reconnect with yourself. On this true digital detox you’ll travel far from cities and towns to a remote and stunning location. You’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere more remote, beautiful and full of spiritual energy as Northern Mongolia. The people of this vast and varied land have a deep heritage of connection to the earth and sky. Nestled on the specially protected eastern shore of the crystal clear Khovsgol Lake, the Ar Davkhar Peninsular is a pristine gateway to the wilds of the Taiga.
ACCOMMODATION + MEALS
Stay in simple yet comfortable surroundings. Imagine sleeping with the sounds of nature around you, a fire crackling nearby, cosy on a deliciously soft mattress. A specially designed menu to promote holistic health with meals prepared fresh daily, with locally foraged fruits, berries and colourful salads. Evenings spent in good company, listening to hauntingly beautiful traditional songs and gazing at the myriad of stars.
YOGA + WELLBEING
Spend your days in reflection, guided by our expert teachers, under the glorious sunshine, feeling your mind and spirit being elevated and wellbeing entering every fibre of your body. Through a combination of asana, pranayama and meditation, your body and mind will be strengthened, which will result in greater overall physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. Join guided soul healing meditation practices and daily Hatha and Vinyasa workshops.
TOURS + SIGHTSEEING
Find tranquility with both magnificent and calming scenery, forest walks and a relaxing sauna. There will be plenty of opportunities for peaceful moments to soak in the natural beauty. Our host is an expert guide and will find the local hidden spots, best view points and work them seamlessly into your retreat experience. There will be chances to horse ride and kayak, arranged and payable locally. No long drives, no noise traffic, no tourists.

Traditional Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga, rooted in the Tantras is a complete path in itself. It comes from an ancient and deep understanding of the energy systems of the body and and uses yogic asanas, pranayamas and kriyas to enable the system for higher experiences.
With the practice of Hatha Yoga, one can enhance the body, mind and the entire experience of life.
Yogasanas -Postures
This is an embodied experience. Whatever it is you are going through, this retreat is designed for everyone, male and female, of any age, whether new to this sort of experience or not. Asanas are postures. Asanas can transform the body and mind into a possibility for ultimate well-being.
Pranayamas & Kriyas
Breathing & Energy Expansion Methods Pranayamas or Yogic breathing practices have been taken up as a standalone practice in themselves by many traditions to reach the deepest levels of the self.
Hatha Yoga itself is called upon the control of energy through these practices. Besides the innumerous mental, physiological and physical benefits, the practice of pranayamas in the yogic tradition play a much deeper spiritual role.
Dhyana – Meditation
Through a combination of asana, pranayama and meditation, your body and mind will be strengthened, which will result in greater overall physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.
Teacher Profile
Maral, from Mongolia, is well known as a teacher of Yoga. Her workshops and teachings are held as a celebration, guiding students towards the state of Dhyana – Meditation. Students experience immense Inner Transformation, Love and Energy in the time they are with her.
In the past 6 years, Maral has been sharing her experience and knowledge in Yogic Sciences with numerous yoga practitioners. In her workshops students receive a deep understanding of Yogic Practices. She teaches Hatha Yogic Practices – Asanas, Pranayamas, Kriyas and Mudras.

Expat Travel are a family run Mongolian Registered Tour Company, offering cultural tours and adventure experiences across Mongolia. Day 1: Arrive in Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to Hotel. Welcome dinner and cultural induction.
Day 2: Travel to retreat location. Start of wellness program.

Day 7: Return to Ulaanbaatar.
A sample program for a typical day at one of our retreats.
7:00 to 7:30 – Guided Meditation
7:30 to 9:00 – Free Time to enjoy the morning sunshine and relax or guided nature walk.
9:00 to 10:00 – Breakfast.
10:00 – Morning Workshop: Yoga session focusing on breath work, release nidra, and mindfulness.
12:00 – Lunch & Free Time.
2:00 to 5:00 – Afternoon Workshop or Nature Activity. Afternoons are spent focusing on different topics, with workshops and discussions on topics such as managing stress, holistic health, vision and mindfulness.
Activities include hiking to places of great spiritual energy and beauty, gentle pony rides through calming and peaceful forests, gentle boating on crystal clear calm lake waters. These activities will be combines with times for meditation, reflection and deep learning.
Evening are spend on the lake side or in a most beautiful spot. We usually have a campfire or sauna. Guided star gazing and astrology for those who are interested.
